Heavy Scottish Thistle Pin. Solid Pewter. Size: 1 1/2″ X 1 1/2″. The thistle has long been the emblem of Scotland and this pin should please any Scot, man or women. Men can wear this on their bonnet but it is beautiful as a brooch on a vest or blazer as well! This has some weight to it and would best be worn on heavier fabric. It is very nicely carved with allot of detail. The pin was hand cast in lead-free jeweler’s pewter in our studio and polished to a warm, antique finish to bring out the detail. The findings are hand soldered and the hinged pin is secured by a safety clasp. This was reproduced from a period piece.
